Durham Election
Scene: Convince McKinney employees to fall in love with Durham.
Every year, McKinney's "Mterns" are tasked with doing an Intern Project all together. In the Summer of 2013, our task was to get the employees - many of whom lived in Raleigh or Chapel Hill - to fall in love with Durham, where the office is located. Using the idea to get people who already loved the city of Durham to do the work for us, we created the Durham Presidential Election. Over the course of two weeks, we highlighted various areas of Durham using everything from a debate over "who loves Durham more" to the executions you see here.

During "Campaign Week", we wanted to bring Durham into the office using various experiential methods. To showcase the Magic Wings Butterfly House at the Museum of Life and Science, we hung hundreds of paper butterflies in a hallway right in the middle of the office.
To highlight Fullsteam Brewery, a popular bar in Durham, we held a pin-pong tournament during McKinney's weekly staff "Pub" event.
Finally, it was Election Day.
